The number of patients hospitalised continues to gradually fall
The third wave of the coronavirus pandemic continues to slowly abate in the Murcia Region, and by March 2nd, there are just 1,110 active cases remaining in the region.
Of these, 893 are patients with mild or asymptomatic cases, who are observing quarantine at home and just 217 are in hospital with more severe cases.
75 of these are in Intensive care Units, both of which figures are continuing to slowly fall, alleviating the pressure on the health service. The figures have decreased every day since the 22nd February, which is the last time the hospitalisations registered an increase.
Data at a glance as reported on Tuesday:
New positive cases reported in the last 24 hours: 72
Confirmed cases since the beginning of the outbreak; 106,331
Total number of active cases: 1,110
Patients in home isolation with mild symptoms: 893
Total number of hospitalisations: 217

Testing: total of 910,167 PCR and antigen tests and 100,455 serological tests to date
72 new cases have been diagnosed within the last 24 hour period from the 2,824 PCR tests carried out, yielding a positivity rate of only 2.54 percent, which confirms the decreasing dispersement of the virus.
Of the total positives detected, 16 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 9 to Cartagena, 9 to Cieza, 6 to Caravaca de la Cruz, 6 to Ceutí, 6 to Torre Pacheco, 4 to San Pedro del Pinatar and 3 to Lorca, with the remainder distributed around the region in smaller quantities.

The four men and three women, were aged 88, 63, 72, 86, 66, 94 and 55; two were from Murcia and the rest from Yecla, Blanca, Cartagena, Cieza and Totana.
