February 28 Guided tour of the old town centre of Moratalla

History, fabulous views and the local cultural identity all on a 2-hour visit to Moratalla!

This guided tour of Moratalla on Saturday 28^th February is a chance to immerse yourself in the natural and cultural identity of the town during a 3-kilometre walk with, warning should be given, a certain amount of upward and downward slopes included!

While staying within the town itself you’ll see mountains and history fused into one, capturing the essence of Moratalla as you walk through the old centre, climb the hill of San Jorge, enjoy the panoramic views from the Patio de los Yébenes and see the façades of the main monumental buildings.

The tour begins at 10.00 in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and is expected to last two hours. Further information can be requested from the tourist office at turismo@ayuntamientomoratalla.net or on 968 730208, while reservations can be made online here at a price of 5 euros.

As for what to do when the visit ends, the tourist office recommends taking a look inside the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the Museo de la Soledad, where the display of objects related to the famed drummers and bull runs can be seen until 14.00 – proof of payment for the tour gains you free access.
