April 22-26 The Burger Cup arrives in Lorca

Five days of top burgers, music and great atmosphere at Parque Almenara

If you enjoy a good burger (and who doesn´t), this is one date for your diary. From Wednesday April 22 to Sunday April 26, Parque Almenara in Lorca will host The Burger Cup, bringing together some of the best burger creations from across Spain.

This five-day event turns Lorca into a real hotspot for burger lovers, with a relaxed, lively setting where you can try a range of award-winning burgers all in one place. Entry is completely free, so all you need to do is turn up and enjoy.

When to visit

Opening times vary across the week, giving you plenty of chances to pop in:

Wednesday April 22 and Thursday April 23: 7.00pm to 12.00am
Friday April 24, Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26: 12.00pm to 1.00am

Whether you prefer a quieter evening visit or a full day out at the weekend, there is plenty of time to explore what is on offer.

More than just burgers

Alongside the food, visitors can expect music and a friendly, upbeat atmosphere throughout the event. It is designed as a social experience as much as a food event, making it ideal for meeting friends or enjoying something a little different locally.

Murcia’s second biggest centro comercial has more than just shopping – it’s everything you could want from a day out!

Parque Almenara Shopping Centre in the Lorca and Aguilas area

Parque Almenara is one of the largest retail and leisure malls in the Lorca and Águilas area, offering the full ‘all under one roof’ shopping experience, except it is open to the elements!

It has all your favourite brands and shops like Stradivarius and Mango, spread out over two easily accessed levels. There is also a Carrefour, plus larger retail units for electrical products and home and garden goods.

Unlike other shopping centres, Parque Almenara is a shopping mall where the stores are located in a network of streets, like a whole shopping village that covers almost 150,000m2, making it the second largest shopping centre in the Region of Murcia.

One of the most striking features of Parque Almenara is its three canvas tents suspended 20 metres above the outdoor area, creating a shaded zone and an oasis of calm right in the middle of the mall.

As well as the opportunity for a day’s retail therapy, Parque Almenara also offers the makings of good night out. There is a 10-pin bowling alley with 20 lanes and an entertainment complex, plus a multiscreen cinema with ten screens showing the latest offerings from Hollywood and the best 3D movies, and even original version English-language films.
