Widespread rain and storms: Spain weather forecast July 10-13
Day and night-time temperatures will plummet in most of Spain over the weekend

Saturday July 12 will be the most unsettled day of the week
In the last few hours, the weather has become increasingly unsettled in the Mediterranean region of Spain with overcast skies and showers, while the rest of the country has remained relatively calm. This is all due to change over the weekend though with the arrival of a DANA, which promises storms and heavy downpours in large parts of Spain.
Thursday July 10

With the exception of the Mediterranean coast and the northwest, Thursday should be settled enough in most of Spain. Day-time temperatures will climb in the east and north, and on the islands, while slight drops are expected in the westernmost part of the country.
Even so, the mercury will remain above 34ºC-36ºC in most of southern Spain and yellow heat alerts have been activated in Andalucía and the Valencian Community.
Friday July 11

The DANA will reach Spain by Friday, sweeping in from the Atlantic and entering through the northwest of the country. While its trajectory remains uncertain, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting overcast skies and afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the north and east. Weaker rain is also possible in the Balearic Islands but it should remain dry for the time being in the southwest.
Daytime temperatures will drop across the board.
Saturday July 12

Saturday will be the most unsettled day of the week, with the storms spreading through much of northern and inland Spain. The southwest will again escape the rain but most areas can expect plenty of cloudy intervals throughout the afternoon.
After more than a week of tropical nights, Saturday night should be much cooler. Maximum temperatures will also continue to dip, only reaching the mid-30s in the southeast.
Sunday July 13

While the evolution of the DANA is still a little hard to predict, it looks as though things will settle down a bit on Sunday as the front moves away.
Showers, generally much weaker and isolated, are expected in inland Galicia, the Cantabrian region, the Pyrenees, and inland Catalonia and the northern Valencian Community, with the Balearic Islands not ruled out.
Daytime temperatures will start to inch up again in most of the country and much of southern Spain is expected to exceed 34ºC once again.
