Two people were injured just outside the Hospital Rafael Méndez in Lorca on Tuesday when a bus skewed off the road and down a roadside embankment at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
Calls were made to the 112 emergency services line reporting that the only person in the bus at the time was the driver, who was injured but managed to make his own way out of the vehicle, and that a pedestrian had been hit by the bus before it fell down the verge and onto a parked car. The injuries suffered by the pedestrian, an elderly man, are reported to be serious and he was immediately taken the short distance to the A&E unit of the Rafael Méndez and admitted for treatment.
