These are the 10 richest companies in Murcia
These companies have a combined turnover of 9 billion euros a year
The economy of Murcia is growing and is expected to continue to do so for the coming years. This news was published in an economic report by Hispalink, which indicates that the Region will grow above the average rate in Spain between 2024 and 2026.
According to the latest data in the Commercial Registry, for 2023 and 2022, collected by Informa D&B, companies in the Region had a turnover of 9.2539 billion euros in 2023.
ElPozo has turned out to be the regional company with the highest turnover last year with 1.804 billion euros. It is the first of the four companies located in Alhama de Murcia that enter the ranking. The company is second in the food sector at a national level and falls only behind BonÀrea.
In second and third place are two companies with headquarters in Santomera and owned by the Hefame Group, chaired by Enrique Ayuso Hernández. J. García Carrión follows in fourth position. The Jumilla-based multinational chaired by José García-Carrión Jordán sold products worth 1.122 billion euros in 2023.
In fifth place was the agricultural company Cereales y Harinas Garsán based out of Lorca. This company brought in more than 672.5 million in sales in 2023. Eviosys Paquetes España, a packaging manufacturing company from Las Torres de Cotillas, came in sixth place. The company has recently been bought by the North American group Sonoco Products Company.
Transport company, Primafrio, based in Alhama de Murcia, which had a turnover of 591.8 million euros came in seventh in the rankings. This company, founded by José Conesa, operates internationally and is a European leader in logistics and temperature-controlled freight transport.
Livestock company Cefusa came in eighth, while in ninth place is PC Componentes, also in Alhama (pictured). To round off the top 10, Sabic Innovative Plastics had a turnover last year of 425.2 million euros in 2023.
So, there we have it. The above ten companies were the most profitable in the region of Murcia for 2023. The increase in turnover for these companies can only be a good thing for workers, as opportunities are bound to arise and the economy grows.
