Yecla historic old quarter
In this guided route visitors uncover the most important structures of the old quarter in Yecla. The visit starts at the Basilica of La Purísima, continuing on to the 16th century parroquial church of La Asunción, the museum dedicated to the Easter week in Yecla,the Museo de Semana Santa, which is hugely atmospheric and well worth a visit, and the La Molineta viewing point which offers views out over the urban area of Yecla as well as other locations.
The visit also includes the chance to sample local Yeclan sweet Libricos, a delicious wafer filled biscuit which carries images of important locations within the municipality and is a very economical little gift to take back for friends.
