ARCHIVED - Rain dying out in the Costa Cálida as temperatures begin to rise again
Tuesday’s drizzle will die out as the sunshine returns to the Region of Murcia
The rain which had been forecast in the Region of Murcia duly arrived on Tuesday, mostly in the form of a persistent drizzle, and Aemet are predicting that more could be on the way on Wednesday morning before the clouds begin to disperse during the afternoon.
The amount of precipitation which fell on Tuesday was hardly spectacular, reaching a maximum of only 5.4 millimetres in Alhama de Murcia, but the drop in temperatures after the heat of Monday was a significant one. Nowhere in the Region did the thermometer climb any higher than the 17.8 degrees registered in Alhama, and even that was 8 degrees lower than on Monday!
During Wednesday Aemet are warning of the possibility of more light showers during the morning but as the sky begins to clear afternoon temperatures will rise by a couple of degrees to around 15 or 16 in most of Murcia and 18 in the regional capital. By Thursday it is expected that only a few clouds will be seen, and as a result the morning temperatures will be lower but during the afternoon maximums will again be pushing up towards 20 degrees.
