The rail services available at Águilas provide transport to Lorca and Murcia, with connections to other destinations throughout mainland Spain. The route to Murcia passes through Lorca, Totana and Alhama, and takes almost two hours: timetables are available at www.renfe.com.

Underneath the railway station is the Museo del Ferrocarril, an interesting little museum which charts some of the most important moments in the history of the railway in Águilas, where it was a vital part of the town’s industrial development in the 19th century.
