ARCHIVED - Police mobile speed trap locations in Murcia and Cartagena 14th to 20th October 2019
Radar speed gun locations in the cities and municipalities of Cartagena and Murcia
The local police forces of Murcia and Cartagena operate a system of mobile speed traps which move around the municipalities every week with their mobile "multa cars" (“multa” means fine).
These are in addition to the fixed radar speed traps in the Region of Murcia, of which one of the most infamous is located on the main motorway heading from the A-30 towards San Javier airport, and aim to reduce the number of road accidents in areas where speeding is habitual or where incidents have been registered in the past.
Although the locations of the mobile traps are given, there are no times specified for when the mobile unit will be in each specific place, so take your foot off the accelerator when passing through these areas if you don’t want a fine arriving through the post (or straight into your bank account): you have been warned!
Between 14th and 20th October 2019 the Policía Local of Cartagena will be present with their radar speed guns at the following locations:
Avenida Sebastián Feringán
Gran Vía de La Manga
Calle Burgos
Vereda de San Félix
Carretera del Cementerio (Los Dolores)
Plaza de Alicante
Avenida Víctor Beltrí
Calle Yucatán (La Vaguada)
Calle Recife (La Vaguada)
Avenida Juan Carlos I
RM-332 (San José Obrero)

Isla Plana

Los Belones
Avenida Bruselas (Polígono Cabezo Beaza)
Calle Bratislava (Polígono Cabezo Beaza)
Avenida Venecia (Polígono Santa Ana)
In and around the city of Murcia, meanwhile, motorists are advised to exercise even more caution than usual on the following roads as the police speed traps will be present:
Avenida de la Región Murciana
Avenida del Palmar
Carretera F-6 (Los Dolores)
RM-302, Carretera de Algezares
Ronda Sur
Calle Fuensanta (Aljucer)
