ARCHIVED - Mazarrón shopping park and Los Alcázares hotel purchased by Hungarian investors
The Mazarrón Park and Hotel Mossaic transactions were finalized in December
Unnamed private investors in Hungary have acquired two important assets in the Costa Cálida following negotiations through an Alicante-based real estate consultancy named Danubio Homes, purchasing the Mazarrón Park shopping centre and the 4-star Hotel Mossaic in Los Alcázares.
The 83-room Hotel Mossaic acquired a certain degree of notoriety due to it having previously been owned by Juan Antonio Roca, who was at the centre of the Malaya property development corruption scandal in Marbella, and has now attracted the interest of the Hungarians at a reported price of 9.3 million euros (according to the purchasers’ agent).
In Puerto de Mazarrón, the Mazarrón Park occupies a floor area of 10,500 square metres and offers 370 parking spaces, with all of the available premises currently occupied by well-known brands. It was previously owned by the German-based Activ-Group, who invested 12 million euros in its construction prior to the opening in 2018.
Both purchases are reported to have been finalized during December, and Danubio Homes anticipate further operations along similar lines in the near future.
