The exhibition consists of 47 paintings, two sculptures and a relief from the golden age of Spanish art.
The curators are José María Palencia Cerezo, director of the Museum of Fine Arts of Córdoba, and Álvaro Pascual Chenel, of the Complutense University of Madrid, who selected the works with the aim of making the exhibition novel and relevant, as well as a contribution for the scientific world collected in the exhibition catalogue with the contributions of 10 researchers of Spanish painting and sculpture from the 15th to the 18th centuries, amongst which is the curatorial team.
Among the works presented for the first time are a crucified Christ attributed to El Greco; a Saint Catherine of Alexandria and a Saint Francis of Alonso Cano; a Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian and a Martyrdom of Saint Zoilo by Juan Valdés Leal; an Appearance of the Virgen del Pilar by Pablo Rabiella; a Holy Family by Miguel Bautista Ximénez or an Epiphany by Pedro de Valpuesta.
The exhibition 'Masters of the Spanish Baroque. Unpublished work. The Granados Collection 'can be visited until January 10th, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
