ARCHIVED ARTICLEARCHIVED - July 20 Four free concerts in Cartagena as part of the La Mar de Musicas festival
Musicians from Spain and the Dominican Republic in the streets of Cartagena
After the disruption of the Covid pandemic over the last couple of years the La Mar de Músicas international music festival returns to Cartagena in the early summer of 2022, with a series of 41 artists performing between July 15 and July 23 at various venues in the city. The featured nation at this year’s event is the Dominican Republic.
On Wednesday July 20 the schedule is as follows:
13.00: Franvvi (Spain) is the stage name of Cartagena musician Francisco Vicente Conesa, who offers this free concert in the Real Club de Regatas.
20.00: Fiesta de la bachata with Sandro Reyes (Dominican Republic), a festival of bachata in a free concert in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
21.30: Yasser Tejeda (Dominican Republic) is a representative of the current musical scene in his country and offers this free concert in the patio of the CIM building.
23.00: Tanxugueiras hail from Galicia in the north-west of Spain and are a dance music trio offering a free concert on the seafront in the port of Cartagena, alongside the Auditorio El Batel. They share the bill with La M.O.D.A. (La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol), a band from Burgos who have taken their unique brand of music around the world over the last decade.
The full program for the 2022 La Mar de Músicas festival in Cartagena can be seen here.
