ARCHIVED - Grey and damp weekend forecast for the Costa Cálida
Rain on Sunday and no return of sunshine expected until the middle of next week
The grey weather which has characterised the first few days of March in the Region of Murcia is forecast to continue into the weekend and the early part of next week, with the forecasters at Aemet not expecting clear skies to return to the Costa Cálida until Wednesday or Thursday.
On Friday 5th March the sky will remain mostly overcast with occasional light showers as maximum temperatures drop to between 12 degrees in Yecla, in the north of the Region, and 15 or 16 in the city of Murcia and along the coast. Saturday is expected to provide similar conditions before on Sunday Aemet predict more significant rainfall, with temperatures falling even lower: maximums of just 10 degrees are expected in Caravaca de la Cruz and Yecla, and even in Murcia and Cartagena thermometers are not expected to climb above 14.
By Monday the showers will most likely begin to die out but not until the second half of the week are temperatures likely to climb to 20 degrees again as the sunshine returns.
