ARCHIVED - Ferry resumes between Santiago de la Ribera - La Manga del Mar Menor
The ferry has been closed since March due to the Covid virus
Although several of the normal boat trip operators in the Mar Menor and Mazarrón have cancelled services this year the regular ferry connecting the Puerto Tomás Maestre of La Manga del Mar menor with Santiago de La Ribera, running across the middle of the Mar Menor has resumed.
The following daily services will operate during July-September, and will be revised in the autumn depending on the level of demand and the Covid virus.
Masks must be worn on the boat.
Departures daily from La Manga 10.30 - 12.30 - 16.30 and 18.30
Return trips daily from Santiago d la ribera in San Javier 11.30 - 13.30 - 17.30 and 19.30
It’s quite a relaxing boat trip across the Mar Menor and is often used by apartment owners on la Manga del Mar Menor as it’s considerably cheaper to take a ferry across than drive all the way around La Manga in a taxi. Tickets can be purchased on the boat. Be a little wary towards the end of the season if planning to come back on the last boat as the service does become a little unreliable....
