Cumulative incidence rate in Andalucía since last March
The cumulative incidence rate for coronavirus in Andalucía now stands at 31.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a drop of 1.5 points since last Friday. However, 275 new positive cases were detected and three more deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours alone.
Cumulative incidence rate
Despite the overall drop in incidence since last week, the incidence rate has risen in four Andalusian provinces in the last 24 hours: Almería, which has a rate of 61.4 cases (+0.1); Málaga, with 39.4 cases (+0.8); Granada, with 28.5 cases (+1); and Jaén, with 21.9 cases (+3.1).
New infections
In the last seven days, 1,258 people in Andalucía have come down with coronavirus, 275 of them in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people who have been infected in the region since the start of the pandemic to 806,715.
Hospitalisations
This week, 60 people have been hospitalised due to Covid-19, with 10% of them (6 people) going into intensive care. This brings the total number of hospitalisations to 56,618, of whom 6,202 are in the ICU.
Fatalities
The 11 new deaths from Covid in Andalucía this week, three of them recorded since yesterday, mean that a total of 11,234 people have died since the pandemic began.
