The Puente de Hierro iron bridge in Archena is set to be restored and reconditioned in a project with a budget of 1,036,582 euros which is expected to take eight months to complete, the Murcia regional government has announced.
The contract has been awarded for the work to reinforce the bridge’s structure and foundations as well as repairing and tidying up the structure.
The project also includes resurfacing and installation of new lighting to improve road safety.
