Clear skies and strong winds at times this week: Alicante weather March 30-April 2

Alicante is set for a largely dry and sunny few days, although strong winds will make things feel a little fresher at times

Overall, the outlook from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) points to settled spring weather across the province, with sunshine dominating. However, strong winds, especially midweek, will be the main feature, along with a slight dip in temperatures towards the end of the week.

Monday March 30

Aemet forecasts mostly clear skies throughout the day. Minimum temperatures will fall slightly, with colder conditions inland and even a risk of light frost in some areas, while daytime highs will climb. A moderate north-westerly wind will pick up across the province as the day goes on.

Tuesday March 31

Tuesday continues with clear or mostly clear skies. Temperatures will keep rising, especially overnight. Winds from the north and north-west will strengthen, becoming moderate to strong at times.

Wednesday April 1

Conditions remain largely sunny, although there may be some cloud at times, particularly in inland areas of the northern half of the province. Temperatures will stay fairly steady overall. Winds will again be a key feature, blowing from the north and north-west, with some very strong gusts possible, especially in exposed northern areas.

Thursday April 2

Cloud will become more noticeable on Thursday, with skies turning partly to mostly cloudy through the middle of the day. Temperatures will dip slightly during the day, although overnight temperatures will change little. Winds will remain moderate from the north and north-west, with occasional very strong gusts still possible in the north.

Looking ahead, while it’s set to be a bright and sunny week for Semana Santa in Alicante, it will feel chilly at times, so it’s worth wrapping up if you’re heading out to the processions, especially in the evening or at night.
