ARCHIVED - Changes to Friday markets which co-incide with Christmas and New Year in Cartagena
Weekly street markets that are normally held on Fridays in the Cartagena municipality will be brought forward to Thursdays over the Christmas and New Year period.
This year both Christmas Day, which is a holiday on the 25th, and New Year's Day on January 1st, fall on a Friday, so the markets department has decided to move the normal Friday markets forward to Thursday.
The markets affected by this change are those of El Algar, El Llano del Beal, Pozo Estrecho and Urbanización Mediterráneo, which will be brought forward one day and will be held on Thursday 25th and Thursday 31st December.
For the remainder of the holiday period markets will take place at their normal times on Fridays, and with all the security measures required by the current health crisis!.
