A wildly successful summer for La Quinta Club
There were lots of events taking place for members and non-residents at La Manga Club’s premier private club this summer
Looking back at this summer season just gone, the members and visitors at La Quinta Club, the exclusive club in the heart of La Manga Club Resort, can say it has been a fun-filled, action-packed summer, “one of the best years ever” after the lull due to Covid!This August, there were weekly pool parties at the Club every Wednesday, with talented saxophonist Alex Sánchez returning for the second half of the month, following on from DJ Loric’s successful 4-week run.
The pool parties were “very popular and extremely well attended,” according to Club Chairman Mark Pugsley, with a wide selection of artists including Laly, Juan (saxo), Vanessa Soul, Connecta2 and Two-Twenties providing a variety of musical experiences for members and guests on Monday nights.
“All were very well received, particularly Juan with his illuminated saxophone and laser beam gloves!” said Mark.Elsewhere on the Club, despite being very busy, there were no problems with sunbed reservations at all, and the kids’ club was very popular this year, especially the evening kids’ club which allowed parents some time off later in the day.
The Club’s restaurant La Solana was also fully packed, offering a different type of cuisine each week and featuring entertainers too.
There is now also the option, after the reopening of the Grand Hyatt hotel on La Manga Club, for La Quinta Club members to get a 20% discount at the hotel restaurants, such as ‘Asia’.
Beyond the entertainment, one of the most highly appreciated features of La Quinta Club’s offering this year was the peace of mind supplied by the on-site doctors. This year, there were “a small number of guests” who had medical issues, but they were ably assisted by the La Manga Club medical team, who swiftly transferred them to the nearby hospital in Cartagena for expert treatment.
“This is a level of service not available in many other resorts and ought to give huge confidence to any of our members or guests, should they ever become unwell whilst at the club,” said Mark.
All in all, the summer couldn’t have been more of a success, and La Quinta Club has big plans to make it even better next year.
