5th December, Patrik, a multi-disciplinary show at the Centro Párraga in Murcia

The Matuška Project perform at the contemporary arts centre in the regional capital

“Patrik” is a stage performance based on the latest poems published by the writer David Matuška Olzín, who was born in what is now the Czech Republic but has lived in Elche in the province of Alicante since 2000. It aims to explore the world of human relationships through the ties between a couple, examining the rise, fall and resurrection of a normal person suffering an individuality crisis in the second decade of the 21^st century.

The performance mixes poetry with music, drama and the visual arts as the chief protagonist emerges from difficult situations like those which face each and every one of us at some point in our lives, framed within a beautifully conceived dramatic context.

David Matuška Olzín supplies the readings and plays the bass and is accompanied by actors Joan Fabrellas and Esther Abellán Rodes, pianist Elena Seguí Moya and percussionist Alejandro Espín Tortosa.

The performance on 29^th November begins in Espacio 0 of the Centro Párraga at 21.00 with admission priced at 8 euros. Tickets can be booked on 968 351410 and via the centre’s website, or at the door from 19.00 onwards on the day of the performance.
