3rd December, Ecstatic Dance at the Centro Párraga in Murcia

Ecstatic dance is a freestyle dance event hosted by Laura Sánchez and DJ Álex Sevilla with the aim of creating a freestyle dance community in Murcia where lovers of dance can express their creativity through movement. All are welcome to enjoy the experience, with no previous or expert knowledge required.

The concept of Ecstatic Dance originated with Gabrielle Roth in Hawaii and has become terrifically popular elsewhere in the USA, particularly in California, and in large European cities. A typical session begins with a brief explanation of how it works and a warm-up before the music and free dance begins, with the DJ responding to the mood of the participants. The only rule is that no spoken communication is permitted as feelings are transmitted through movement.

The two two-hour sessions in Espacio 0 of the Centro Párraga on 7th October and 3rd December begin at 17.30 and the cost of joining is 12 euros per session. Tickets can be purchased in advance by telephone on 609 654057 or by email at agueracorreo@gmail.com.
