ARCHIVED - 11th October to 12th January, exhibition by Korean artist Kihong Chung in Cartagena
The exhibition can be visited in the Palacio Molina in Cartagena
An exhibition of works by Korean-born artist Kihong Chung is being held at the Palacio Molina venue in Cartagena, showing how he attempts to create connections between nature and his public.
"Art is found in everything you want to see, not only what you show as such. It could be graffiti, a misty sunrise or our imagination, all of them are painting. City buildings, a rocky mountain and sculpture are fleeting thoughts.” This is the philosophy of Kihong Chung, who was born in South Korea in 1979 but has lived most of his life outside his native country and now lives in Cartagena.
He states that his paintings stem from memories of his childhood and that while originally he attempted to paint in a “European” style he eventually found that he was better suited to following his oriental instincts.
The exhibition at the Palacio Molina can be visited from Tuesday to Friday between 10.00 and 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 and at weekends from 11.00 to 14.00.
