ARCHIVED - Los Alcázares awards diplomas for the peques who stayed at home during lockdown
The younger generation faced particular challenges during lockdown and the council is awarding a special diploma in recognition of their great efforts
Lockdown has been a strange experience for all of us, impacting on different sectors of the population in so many different ways.
Although adults can understand the logic of why it is necessary to stay at home and protect ourselves from the virus, it’s been a bewildering experience for the younger generation, some of whom are too young to fully understand the implications of what has been happening and the effects the virus has caused on their own lives and domestic environment.
Right across the region our councils swung into action during lockdown, offering hundreds of online activities for children in an attempt to continue the educative process and make lockdown an interesting and stimulating period as far as possible, particularly for youngsters, los más pequeños, or “peques” as they’re often referred to here.
Los Alcázares council is now issuing diplomas for all those youngsters who stayed at home with a smile and helped to limit the spread of Covid through their actions.
If you live in the municipality and would like to award a diploma to your own peques, these can now be collected in person from the town hall:
Contact the town hall via 968-57.50.47 - Extention 2403 or email educacion@losalcazares.es for an appointment.
